Many Chinese auto companies are working with automotive paint companies to research sustainable paint and coating technologies, accelerating energy saving and carbon reduction in paint shops, and improving quality and reducing consumption. It is expected that this year, low-temperature integrated coating technology will enter the pilot production and industrialization promotion stage. Using the same low-temperature crosslinking paint for body and plastic parts on the same production line will bring more than 10% energy saving, significantly reduce investment in bumper paint shops, and significantly reduce production costs. This is expected to solve the long-standing problem of body and bumper color matching in car factories. The application of advanced overspray-free and digital printing automotive color-matching paints will also be industrialized first in China. Mask-free color matching and customized pattern paint film digital printing will move from a dream to industrial production application. The new generation of low-temperature baking ultra-high penetration, high edge protection electrophoretic paint and high paint conversion rate rotary cup spraying technology will be used on more coating lines. Digitalization will drive the automotive paint industry to accelerate its transformation. The cloud-based color matching system of digital color industrialization achieves 72-hour global color synchronization (current cycle 2 weeks), and the cost of digital printing gradient paint surface technology is reduced to 70% of the traditional process. All of these will bring high-quality new development to China's automotive paint and coating industry.
